Hi Alex,
On Dec.27th, someone called regarding references for Seconair and the Nordic DX heat pump, which I was glad to provide. Perhaps I should provide you some feedback as well.
The system and installation meets, if not exceeds, not only our expectations, but our hopes as well. Regarding the execution of the installation, I feel that each team of specialists was highly competent, efficient, knowledgeable, polite, and respectful. Not only did the members of each team work well together, but that the integration of their work was smooth and seamless. Their knowledge, belief in the technology and product, loyalty to their company, and dedication to our satisfaction and comfort impressed me greatly.
Regarding performance of the system, I have some observations that you may find interesting given my professional involvement and interests in the fields of Electro-technology and Amateur Radio. I have been recording comparisons of total energy consumption with two friends. We read our Hydro meters at 1:00pm daily. One has a house a bit smaller than ours, and lives with his wife, no kids. They heat with an air source heat pump and plenum heater. They are also away at least half the month in Vermont where they have a country home. The other friend has a house smaller than ours and is away every weekend, and keeps his house 3-5 degrees C cooler than ours. He heats100% electric plenum heater. Our energy consumptions are all very close when it's warm outside. The colder it gets, the greater the differential by which we beat both of them. That's rather amazing given all the showers and washing done here every week since we are a family of four with two teenagers and that I work at home. This differential in energy efficiency can only be attributed to the to the fact that geothermal ground source energy technology works; something you have known, but that I had yet to prove to myself.
I would certainly choose this system and your company again. As my research has proven, this is the choice that makes the most sense. I believe this technology is the way of the future.
Sincerely,
Steve Rudick
